Ultralight Aircraft Events 2008

2008 Ultralight/Sport Plane Safety Seminar
February 23, 2008. Illinois Building, Illinois State Fairgrounds, Springfield, Illinois. Safety seminar will cover a broad range of subjects including regulatory issues on Sport Pilot, engine maintenance, safety and equipment. There will also be displays representing aircraft and accessories.

Light Sport Aircraft/Sport Pilot Ground School
March 14-16, 2008. Tioga County, Pennsylvania. This is for anyone interested in exploring or expanding their interest in ultralight or light sport aircraft. This is a ground school designed to equip the attendees with the knowledge required to take and pass the FAA sport pilot knowledge test. This session has been attended by ultralight pilots who want to learn more about flight conditions, people who want to become sport pilots, GA pilots as refresher material and folks that just love learning about aviation in general.

Sun ’n Fun Fly–In

Wight Party (Spamfield) Fly-In 2008
June 13-15, 2007. Sandown Airport, Isle of Wight, UK. Spamfield - a huge fly-in for microlight aircraft, with over 450 aeroplanes attending in 2006. Organized by the BMAA, Spamfield is the place every year to meet fellow microlight pilots and a great excuse to go flying.
